On a mission

At 905 Logistics, we pride ourselves on the level of personal, customized service we provide. From the day our doors opened for business, our mission has been to deliver superior service to every client that entrusts their shipments to us – including a commitment to being aboard every vessel we commission from start to completion, and tailoring the services we offer to each client’s specific needs.

Who we are

Chuck Van Sickle- Founder

Chuck Van Sickle – Founder

Chuck Van Sickle, along with his wife April, started 905 logistics in 1999 and Brownsville Mineral Warehouse in 2002. Together they began building both companies with one single goal in mind: To provide the best customer service in the industry at the most competitive rates available.

Starting on his own, after gaining experience with several positions in the logistics and transportation industries, Chuck turned 905 Logistics into a family-run and operated business, bringing his three children into the company to work for he and April.

Sadly, Chuck recently succumbed to a battle with cancer. He will always be the heart, soul, and foundation of our companies. He is greatly missed and will never be replaced.

April Van Sickle- President

April Van Sickle – President

Who more suited to continue Chuck Van Sickle's legacy than his loving wife, April, who has been with both 905 Logistics and Brownsville Mineral Warehousing since the two companies were founded. Recently named acting president of both enterprises, she worked closely with Chuck, absorbing everything he knew about the logistics trade, and served as a vice president for the last decade. Now she is guiding 905 Logistics into a new era of modern productivity, employee expansion, website development, and business and client growth.

Scott Van Sickle- Chief Financail Officer, Treasurer

Scott Van Sickle – Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer

Scott joined 905 Logistics in 2002 and shortly after took on the role of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to working at 905 Logistics, he spent five years in real estate accounting in Boston. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College. As CFO and Treasurer, Scott manages the company’s finances, accounting, and human resources.

Joseph Van Sickle - Art Director, Port Captain

Joseph Van Sickle – Port Captain

Coming to us as a design student from Brooklyn, NY, Joseph is one of our port captains and provides us with skilled documenting and reporting services for incoming cargo vessels. He joined 905 Logistics in 2008, and brings experience in design, photography, marketing, and computer software. Prior to joining 905 Logistics, Joseph attended Pratt Institute and worked as a graphic designer for small firms around the New York City area.

Martin Johnson

Martin Johnson – Co-Founder

He then spent four years in Gabbs, Nevada as a labor foreman at Basic Inc., which later changed to Premier. Between 1980 and 1991, Martin worked as a self-employed farmer and was in charge of animal health at Snyder Livestock. In 1991, Martin accepted a position as a plant manager at Premier in Brownsville. He then worked as an area manager for two years in Maple Grove, Ohio, Pottstown Pennsylvania, and Brownsville, Texas.
